I've heard that there were some legal issues with the re-release of Peter and the Wolf. I have it on an extremely ancient cassette but I"d realy like to get it on CD. What, if anything, can you say about it ever coming back out?

I really don't know that status of that album. It wasn't a Scotti Bros. project so it didn't go with the Volcano acquisition, and I imagine that CBS still has the rights to it.



It seems like they'd want to cash-in on Al's surge of popularity with the last two albums & tours, but it's up to them - I don't think Al can urge them one way or the other.

The label that currently reissues Wendy Carlos' work, East Side Digital, was once actively trying to get the album rereleased. However, there has been some unusual problem delaying their reissue process, or so a representative from the label told me.



That was summer of 2000, so who knows if they have just given up at this point.
