also, what if i mailed the parody to him and it wasn't thrown away?

I don't know of any challenges, and all submitted ideas are discarded before any mail is forwarded to him. I also discard all such emails/snailmail sent to me, replying that Al doesn't accept song ideas or suggestions.

If you have song ideas, why not record a demo (Using a mens bathroom is optional but you don't need to go to a professional studio) and send it to DR Demento?

Mayby he'll "discover" you just like he did Al.

BTW, most atists that I've spoken with have the same policy that Al does. They don't take song suggestions from fans in any way, shape, or form. Sorry...
