The original "weird al show" ????

Post by 27central »

Hey bermuda!,

Those clips from weird al's radio show that they played on Driven, where did they come from?, and is there any possible way I can get some recordings of Al's early radio show? The clips from that skit where Al is tied up in the back and the manager takes over is very amusing!,

thanx!!!

I don't know, perhaps KCPR, the station at Cal Poly? Maybe Ric Turner, Al's old buddy there? I don't know where you could get those, sorry. I do have several of the shows in my CD archive, but obviously I can't let those out (and I didn't supply VH-1 with them either.)

Hearing those radio shows from Cal Poly on Driven was a very special treat! It was great to hear how Al took over the station and how his radio show became the most popular show on the station!

I hope that someday Al decides to release a collection of those shows. As a comedy DJ myself, I have a huge interest in them!
