Yep, it was billed as "The Big Rocky Road Eat Off" and was part of a 3-day "Rocky Road Riot" sponsored by Tower records, Swenson's Ice Cream, The Bottom Line and WPLJ.

Was Al a judge or did he compete? Did anyone else in the band or Dr. Demento judge or compete?

None of us competed, although Jim and Steve helped serve up the ice cream (while I took photos.) Dr D was the M.C., but I forget who judged, maybe Dr D, Al and Rick Derringer?
