"Hardware Store" doesn't sound anything like "Hey Bulldog" to me.
I'm ranking every Beatles song on my new pop culture blog. Check it out!

I never heard it. Someone mentioned it here, that's why I put it in the probably not category. I'll get rid of it. :)

I think "Stuck in a Closet with Vanna White" sounds A LOT like Aerosmith, especially near the end.

I think someone else had said that, too, Jeremy, so you're not alone. I agree. The cowbell in there, for some reason, lends to the Aerosmith-y sound.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

I think "Melanie" is a style parody of REM of the "Life's Rich Pagent" era. Though it also bears a strong resemblence to Toad the Wet Sprocket though I think they didn't hit it big until 2-3 years after Even Worse came out.

I'd also agree "Waffle King" is Peter Gabriel, Sledgehammer styled, while Talk Soup is closer to Gabriel's "Steam" song.

I Was Only Kidding  unknown

I Was Only Kidding is extremely close to Tonio K's HATRED. I'm talking Dick's Automotive close.

For anyone in doubt as to the Jan and Dean influence on Trigger Happy, listen to Surf City. Their "Shoot the Curl" in the background is mimicked almost exactly by "Shoot to Kill."

I thought it was confirmed that I Remember Larry IS a Hilly Michaels style parody confirmed in Ask Al.

Hey, I was playing SOL for a friend the other day and when CBNC came on, she said, oh, is this a Cake parody. She said it sounded just like a Cake-style song, but I'm not sure if I hear that. Thoughts?
