The one thing I wonder is, doyou think that eventually we will get Al on oldies stations?
I've thought about that myself, especially for the much earlier albums. Seems like a neat idea, I sure wouldn't mind. I listen to the Oldies station the most here.
I think it's time we all start harrassing our local radio stations. Call, write, email until they give us what we want!!! Annoy them until they just can't stand it anymore so they will play Al just to shut us up! Anybody with me?

What a tough question... the good part is hearing Al on the radio. The bad part is having him tagged with the "oldies" label, which hardly fits, either from the perspective of Al's actual age and personal energy level [insert appropriate lines from "I'll Be Mellow When I'm Dead" here] or from the point of view of his ongoing curiosity and creativity. Yeah, Al plays a lot of the same venues as genuine "oldies" artists, but how many of them are playing new material? Good new material?
Maybe I can bug that one radio station that actually still takes real request.
A local radio station here has an online request page, so over there I go to http://www.2du.com.au/search.htm and I find an extensive list of Weird Al songs.
www.zoofm.net.au had this to say after I filled in the request form:
