UHF II vs. Anything Else
If Al got the financial backing and studio greenlight to make another movie of his choosing, would you rather see UHF 2 or a brand new original concept?

Re: UHF II vs. Anything Else
I actually think he should do "Anything Else II", a follow-up to Woody Allen's 2003 comedy.
Seriously though, I would like to see something wholly new and fresh from Al. I personally don't think UHF needs a sequel. Besides, who would he get to play Teri at this point?

UHF! UHF! I loved that movie. I laughed through the whole thing.

I dunno, I think UHF 2 would be interesting, to see how the characters deal with bigger competing news stations and new technology. Kinda like Anchorman 2

Re: UHF II vs. Anything Else
Al has said many times that he doesn't want to do a sequel, and I don't blame him. It's a self-contained story and there's no need to make another one, especially after all this time. Something new would be fun, and give him more freedom rather than feeling like he has to recapture the feeling of UHF.

At this point, I would rather see an original concept. UHF is great as it is, and there's no need to try to expand the concept.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

Definitely a new concept but maybe with an in-joke or two about UHF.

I want something new.
UHF was OK, it was funny, I enjoyed it, but it wasn't that great. Only slightly above-average comedy.

Re: UHF II vs. Anything Else
Something else for sure. It always annoys me when a sequel of a movie comes out a crazy amount of time after the first(sooo hope dumb anf dumber 2 doesn't let me down). Would not be the same and many of the people in the first are either dead or kinda gone crazy( Victoria Jackson, and didn't Micheal Richards do something?) A new story would be so much better but as with everything he does, have a couple good cameos. Seems at this point in his career he has slowly been getting more and more acting jobs so maybe eventually someone will want to give him another good shot at a movie

I think Richards has mostly been forgiven, but Jackson is still currently cuckoo-for-Cocoa-Puffs. And yes, some of the best scenes in UHF were with Kevin McCarthy, who alas is no longer with us.
I would have been all over a UHF sequel in the early 90's, maybe. But at this point I'd like to see Al do something completely different rather than go back to the same well. I think he probably feels the same way.
