hmm

I think I like what he says, though. I don't know how else to respond to this.

He already bought up the "irony on social media" thing on the Nerdist podcast six years ago and has previously bought up why he doesn't get into politics or what lines he won't cross. I don't think anyone here ever expected an interviewer to ask him about his views on PC culture but watching it I get the sense that this is exactly the type of response he would give. Obviously, no one is pressuring Al to be more PC (I mean, they couldn't even if they tried) but I think that this response was more in reference to how much that same type of outside PC pressure affects certain types of comedy he may enjoy privately in his spare time.

Right. I'm just glad to know he is a believer of free speech and sees the pervasiveness of today's PC culture for what it is.

I think a certain amount of PC is not necessarily a bad thing. Many offensive things are considered offensive for a reason, after all - like when you are perpetuating stereotypes and ideas that are actively harmful, for instance, you wanna be careful with that or at least aware. But yeah there is a subculture of PC-ness that does take things too far and seems to actively look for ways to be offended. And shouts the loudest.

I didn't even know such problem existed  . The only kind of PC I know is the diversity among characters of TV shows, which I don't even notice it until someone starts complaining about it. As a trekkie and a whovian I take it as a norm. I even removed one guy from facebook friends because he was constantly complaining about the amount of black and homosexual characters in DC TV shows.

MicDrop's Top 10 Weird Al Yankovic Parodies

List isn't perfect (Yankovich-ing, not to mention a few other problems), but still fun.

Fun video, though there are a couple of inaccuracies in it. -_-
