Well, since this is the home of the Fan Creativity, I thought I'd begin with a little Toon Al I drew.

It ended up becoming the Al-oholics Anonymous calender for the month of Juneand I though I'd share the process of the drawing with you.

In mid-April, I did a pencil drawing one afternoon. I scanned it before I began to make heavier lines.

A large number of things I do don't get past the pencil scan. Very few actually go into the gallery.

I cleaned it up and inked it. I love how nice and neat things look when I ink them and I can erase all my messy marks.

Now there's the fun part. COLORING! I've been doing my coloring in Photoshop for a little while. Some stuff I do really gets hauled with highlights and shadows and little touches but I left this one bold and I liked the flats a lot.

...and for the final touch, I composed a wallpaper calender of it, and added the specifics as required by Al-oholics Anonymous.

You can find it here:

I thought I'd share that with you guys, being the Al-fans you are. :D

Wow! That's really good! It seems like a lot of Al's fans are artists. Congrats on the calender!

...and a lot of art majors are Weird Al fans!

When I first got to my current college, I was amazed at how many Weird Al fans there were.

It makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Oh wait... that was the cafeteria food. Weird Al brings art majors together to belt out songs.

I'll have to get a scanner again so I can draw some more art. Until then, I've been working on Wallpapers for desktops.

...which brings me to ask:

1. Are we allowed to share wallpapers that include photographs/screen captures

2. Where (if allowed) would we put them? I've got some nifty ones including Weird Al frozen at the cryo lab in Futurama (facial frost not on the DVD version).

I'm not sure. We've been pretty lax about allowing parodies and such of copyrighted images, but to make stuff specifically for download? I'd PM and ask WHiZZi what he thought of it, if I were you.

Of course, any original artwork or photos would be fine.

Why wasn't my college like that? Oh wait....maybe it's because I'm in WV....

Anyway, that's really nice work. Can you share some tips on coloring inked art in photoshop? I've been trying to do some stuff with shadows/ highlights and not getting the results I'd like.
