I heard about WOWAY from my friend tmbjon. He showed me the video of his parody for the WOWAY awards on YouTube. Then my other co-worker friend MandatoryFun joined, and then I joined. This place is a lot of fun. I see this topic is inactive and hasn't been touched since 2008, but I wanted to participate. Maybe others will join in too. I'm sure I'm not the only newb.

Great topic actually!
I don't remember specifically how I first heard about WOWAY, but I'm pretty sure it was around the time Poodle Hat was coming out and someone telling me that people had migrated over here after the demise of alt.music.weird-al.

I have no clue and it's really bugging me
