left out one of the words that was misheard, but I fixed it...still, yeah, it's kind of stretch. I have no idea how he heard that.

This isn't so much a misheard lyric as it is a "co-mingled lyric" As a BareNaked Ladies fan, DH has given me one week to learn BNL "One Week" lyrics exactly and word for word. If I can, DH has promised that we can set sail on the next Carnival cruise ship with BNL's known as "Ships and Dip." They are everywhere, all the time, on the the ship. However, whenever I practice, I co-mingle the lyrics with "Jerry Springer."

"Chickity China the Chinese Chicken"
"Your brain shuts down then your IQ's dropping"

UGH!! I can't keep it straight!

BG

PS: If I have anything to do with it...we'll be going on the next "Ships and Dip" cruise anyway! :P

In Confessions Part III when he says, "I'm so sorry Debbie...I mean, Bridgett!" I used to think he was saying, "I'm so sorry Debbie...PUT ME IN PRISON!"

Ok, I have some new misheard lyrics to post, now that Al has done "More Than a Feeling" with PUSA. This is what I've thought the lyrics were since I first heard Boston sing it, and it still sounded the same to me when Al did:

It's more than a feeling
When I hear them on somedays, woah, babe.
I begin to hear them...

Makes no sense whatsoever.

Real lyrics:

It's more than a feeling
When I hear that old song they used to play
I begin dreaming...

I was just curious, and thought I'd look up the lyrics. Boy, was I off!
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

I finally starting hearing "That goat doesn't love you" in JS, even though I knew that was the lyric a while ago.

I know this seems minor, but I've been listining to IAATP for a looong time now, seen it live twice, seen it on WAY live... twentyseven thousand times.. and (thanks to the subtitles option on the ultimate video collection) I realized its "what yall wanna do" not "Wacha wanna do"

Doesn't seem like much.. but it WEIRDED me OUT!

That's so close I'm not sure anyone would really be upset about that.

I just wanted to comment, however, that when i listen to Isle Thing I always think of Cold Buddha Hercules and crack up. This has been like a year or two now.
English doesn't just borrow from other languages, it mugs them on the street and checks their pockets for loose grammar.
