Yes, you need to get there - and while you're there, please talk him into performing sometime near the Al Fest date so Louise and I can see him! :)

I am now definitely going, thanks to a little help from my friend Tina, and hope to get the chance to take him aside and do just that.

I did get to go, and even though I'm this late, I'm still not quite ready to tell you about it (I'm at work and forgot the set list Steve let me take, for one thing). Anyway, I'll tell you all more about how awesome it was soon!

This was a really great evening of music! Not only did we have our "Ak & Zuie" (Steve and Pete), who do just fine all by themselves, but Miles and Ian sat in for a couple sets--Miles playing the big stand-up bass, using a bow (sorry if my terminology isn't accurate), and Ian played a drum called a Cajon.

Also joining Ak & Zuie for a couple sets was Rick Berthod, a wonderful blues guitarist. They all played some of Rick's stuff together, and some of Steve's music.

Here's the set list, as best as I can decipher it--some of the song titles were abbreviated.

You'll see below in black what it actually said, and then in purple are my notes.

AZ Ak & Zuie
GLT vvc I think this stands for GO LIKE THIS, but I see it in two other places on this list. I do know they played it twice that night, but I don't think 3 times
ACDP vvc A Cool Dry Place
SHE SAYS IT
DTIA vvc Don't Throw it Away
BLUR WHAT WHO SHOES I think this means a medley of What They Say, Who Can and Big Shoes

+IAN, MILES
TWO vvc
TROUBLE
SEA NEVER DRY
WHAT THEY SAY
SUN IS SHINING

+ RICK
GO LIKE THIS
COOL DRY PLACE
SLOW BLUES
SELF DENIER
THE WAY OUT
DON'T THROW IT AWAY

AZ
F#m coda CAN'T WAIT LONG
TBY vvc /THISTLE TBY=To Be You
ALL OF THE ABOVE
YOU ARE ALIVE
SUVA
SHE WAS THE ONE

+IAN, MILES
A-JAM I think this means Steve jams
DTIA vvc Don't Throw it Away-I don't remember hearing it 3 times, so this set list isn't completely accurate. I guess he knew he wanted it in there somewhere... :-)
SO IT GO

+RICK
PEOPLE
NOTHING
ONE MORE CHANCE
BE LIKE THAT
RED HANDED
MEMORIES
WORLD TURNIN
TO BE YOU
GO LIKE THIS/THANK YOU This time GO LIKE THIS segues into thank u falletin me be mice elf agin by Sly & the Family Stone--they do an awesome job with that song!

I didn't recognize any of the usual crowd of Steve's fans there that night. This was a Frazier Park community event, for sure. We sat next to Steve's next door neighbor. I'd say most of these people had not heard Steve's music before. He got a very enthusiastic response--those Frazier Park people have good taste in music!

Ohh how wonderful!:-D..how I would have loved to be there...
I looked the venue up on Google maps and saw it was just a small community club and I figured it would be a fun event in an intimate setting.
:)
Steve is definitely one of my most favourite people on the planet!
the list is a nice thing to have I bet!

Yes, it was--it seats 50 people, and was sold out.
