Talk about your tenuous and ridiculous fan connections: I found out today that one of my medieval-reenactment friends (yes, I really do spend every weekend at the Renaissance Faire, or equivalent) works for the guy who does Ruben's taxes. And no I didn't ask what her boss's name was or anything, so the sum of my insider knowledge is: Ruben sends in tax returns.

What I find particularly funny is that she felt she needed to tell me this.

It's cool that Rubén was in the band photos despite not playing on the album at all!

I wonder if that's because the shoots were done before the album was finished. Not that he would have necessarily been shut out if it had been done and he wasn't on it, but maybe Al thought it best to include him since it was still possible he could be on it.

Sounds like a lame claim to fame to me!

Speaking of which, absolutely fantastic cowbell from Rubén in the performance of LCTF on Craig Ferguson.

I always feel stupid reading articles about the band because I have no deep knowledge of musical instruments. On the other hand, Ruben had plenty of nice things to say about Al :)

You are not alone in the lack of knowledge in music group. It was a cool interview though, even though when Rubén was getting all technical I had not idea what he was talking about. Sounded awesome though. I like TBITB interviews, like Virginia said they always have nice things to say about Al and each other for that matter.

Did anyone notice that Rubén is unfriending a lot of people on Facebook? My son mentioned that he and I were both unfriended, and I've noticed several Al fans that aren't on his friend list anymore, either. I posted a comment asking about it, and he sent me this message :

"I am slowly changing my approach to Facebook and taking a new direction please don't take it personally."
