My copy I bought on iTunes and it is 3:31. It does fade out at the end though.
Are there multiple versions of the original and if so, what is the difference?

Gidget.

:P

It could be a shout-out to R. Kelly, even though the song is an Usher parody.

SG is not the first to think this, either. I don't remember where else I saw it, but someone else said the same thing.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

Yes, they did, way back in the topic, pages and pages ago...I did read the whole thread before I posted that...:P

And see, Ryan, I'm not the only crazy person who thinks it's a subtle nod.

I did NOT even notice that...but you're brilliant Patti, so I can't say it surprised me...but thanks for sticking up for me...even lowly SG needs support once in a while..:S

hehe, thank goodness for classic tv reruns! Sally Field, we like you, we really like you! You'll always be Gidget to me!

Anyway, yeah, Confessions Part III is in a dead heat with TitDT for favorite parody.

Well, I noticed it the first time I listened to it, but what would the purpose of a "subtle nod" be when Al did an entire 11 minute parody of the song?
Cane and Rinse: weekly thoughtful video game discussion. Give it a listen, won't you?

Maybe Al realized that the ridiculousness of the rhyme was too good to waste, but couldn't fit it into his parody, so it went into another song?
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.
