One thing to keep in mind is that Zappa was loved in France too. Zappa was also extremely self-deprecating.
But in the end, it's authentic Zappaesque by including a xylophone!
Genius in France

Sorry, not reading this whole thread.
Frank Zappa has to be my all time favorite musician, composer, artist, and politician who ever lived.
Honestly, if I didn't know better I'd say Zappa wrote this and gave it to Al saying "Record and release this in 10 years" before he died.
The references are much higher musically than vocally. The female vocals were highly used by Zappa in the early 70s. (I gotta get into it before I get outta it!)
There are little sound effects that sound ripped right from certain Zappa songs. The guitar tone is perfect (Dweezil, Frank Zappa's son plays the intro solo.)
Seriously, I think Zappa wrote this song, it's the perfect tribute and if he was alive today he'd probably bring together the means to make a live version.

I heard Don't Eat The Yellow Snow and Nanook Rubs It off of a Dr. Demento CD and thought that the entire CD continued the same story, so I bought it off of iTunes. It didn't, but I still enjoyed it. Then it was a few years later I had $30 at Barnes and Noble and I decided to get some Zappa CD's, to try out his music. Now I'm a big fan.
