It said something like "Every generation has a legend, every (something else I don't remember) has a (ditto), every song has a parody"
It would make sense if it was "every saga has a beginning", because of the song title, and it's quite similar to the line they used to advertise Episode 1.

Yeah, I remember the Best Buy commercial saying "Every generation has a legend, every saga has a beginning, every song has a parody" while showing various clips and then the cover of RWS.

Hmmm... I wish I had recorded the commercial the one time I saw it!

I didn't write, but I did sing the lead on Woodsy Owl, sang backup on Pico & Sepulveda (in the intro, our version was otherwise an instrumental) and also appeared as the voice of Mr. Ghost... sort of a guest 'rap' in the middle of the song. I played drums on and recorded P&S and Woodsy, and produced & recorded Mr. Ghost (no drums on that.)

Cool! Thanks, Bermuda!!

Y'know, how can ANYBODY not just LOVE these guys? Who else would take time out of their busy schedule and answer an almost 25 year old question within -- what? -- less than 2 hours after the initial query??

It's been said before, but with PH approaching, it needs to be said again. Jon -- you, Al, and SteveJimRuben -- you guys are the most amazing group of musicians I've ever known. Taking the time to make your songs, and especially your parodies, sound just dead-on perfect musically proves how much you care about putting out quality material. But add the fact that you guys take the time to interact with the fans so incredibly directly one-on-one. As was said in this thread, even Al's memory of his fans is bar-none. I defy anyone to name any individual artist or band that cares this much equally both about their fan base and about the craftsmanship of their music. There's a reason you've been together over 20 years.

A heartfelt "thank you", Jon ... for all you, Al, and the guys do. Know that it is deeply appreciated. :)

Dr. Dad hits the nail on the head again.

Yes, thanks to everyone. I've seen some of the types of questions these

guys get over and over and over and over again, and the constant wheedling for information, and Jon does show remarkable patience with

fan questions.

No, heavens, I didn't mean you (or anyone) in particular, so please don't take it that way. I was speaking in general terms only.

I know what we see on boards and in ngs are only a fraction of what Jon

gets in his e-mail, so he must get a ton of folks all asking the same questions.
