I love Cavity Search! I loved it when I first heard it, and love it even more now that I've seen concert footage of his performance of it! :9~
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

I never knew he did that one in concert.

Of course he did! During the Bad Hair tour. He wore a vinyl(?) jacket, and the big sunglasses, a la Bono, and shook his booty onstage while singing it. CS was his sexy song for the Bad Hair tour. It was part of the medley, but he did sing a large enough section of it to satisfy this Al gal. Lucky Kaffy saw it live! ;)

I think the thing with "Gump" being released as as single (instead of "Cavity Search") was that The Presidents' "Gump" was a much, much bigger hit than U2's song. Actually before I read the booklet to BHD I thought "Cavity Search" was an original. I suppose, for the everyday person it's easier to relate to a 'tune' they know and hilarious lyrics than just hilarious lyrics. But personally I think "Cavity Search" is one of the best songs on BHD and that "Gump" wasn't that impressive.

Well, from what I saw on my bootleg, it was pretty darn sexy. I've already described it. He wore all black, including a vinyl jacket, and the sunglasses like Bono wears. He shook his tushie and did some Yoda-esque spins, only with one arm out to his side instead of both. Hard to describe, but it was niiiice! :9~

Kaffy, care to add, since you did see it in person?

Perhap's I'm just a freak but personally Cavity Search is amongst the list of Al's worst for me... not to say its a bad song, seeing as I haven't yet heard an Al song I didn't like, I just don't think it was as clever or catchy as many of his others.

Hmm... maybe I should listen to it a bit more.
