Yesterday was yearbook day at my school. There's one kid in my grade who called another kid a waffle once in class. (This lead to other kids calling him a waffle in class off and on throughout the year.) Anyways, I signed his yearbook (and another friend of mine who's also in that class) with "Believe in the power of the waffle."

We're now using "Waffle King-ish" as an adjective to describe certain people's behavior - i.e., "Wow, that was very Waffle Kingish of him."

My husband has a guy who works for him who actually says (frequently) "Don't you know who I am?" (seriously). We just call him the Waffle King. Someday he's gonna get a waffle iron in the face...

Did Al ever do a video for this song? I don't know if I have a stupendously exquisite imagination or actually saw him on video... Every time I hear this song I "see" him performing it. If not, then I invite you all to a viewing - in my head.

You have a stupendously exquisite imagination. Please post the inside of your head on YouTube as soon as possible. :P
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

I always enjoyed Waffle King just as much as I've enjoyed waffles. I love the subtle social commentary of how people tend to get a swelled head over the stupidest things and.....Aww, who am I kidding? I just love the music!
I bought some batteries but they weren't included, so I bought them again.

Generally, I like absurd stuff. It makes for fun stuff. But for some reason this song just isn't doing it for me. Catchy, but just eh. I do have to re-listen though, cause I haven't heard the album in a while. Not my least favorite song by him though.

I consider this one of Al's 'lower profile' songs but as far as I go, it's up there. I never skip it when it comes on and I always pause what I'm doing to make sure I sing along. Definitely some good lines in there.
