"Back in the U.S.S.R" was definitly supposed to be like a beach boys song I think. That would be why "Trigger happy" would also sound similar.

I like Trigger Happy its a great song. With some funny lyrics, but the music is the best part of this song.

The first time I heard this song, it had been put to an AMV using Trigun, which is all about the wild west and gunfights. I keeled over and just about...say it with me...died laughing. If any of you ever get a chance to see that AMV, I highly recommend it, cuz it just goes so well with the song.

This song had me in stitches the first time I heard it. Also, my Dad, although very tolerating of my love of Weird Al, does not personally adore the music himself - but he does love this song, purely because of the Beach Boys 'sound'.

It never ceases to amaze me what the reasons are behind a person liking a particular song--they range from logical to purely obscure...

I'm not seeing anything, Martin.

I know there's a show on Comedy Central called Trigger Happy TV.

Is this a Dutch version, or what?
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

No , this is a Belgium Show.

They , more or less , show short "hidden camera" movies . They could be funny for some people.

I was listening to Trigger Happy last night, and it never occured to me that it had anything BUT the Beach Boys as far as a style it was parodying. It sounds very "Surfin Safari" to me.
