I just listened, it sounds stupid! Especially since I can hear everything she's saying.

Yeah but that's part of the joke. It's like a Richard Cheese cover of a rap song, I guess.
Or Alanis Morrissette's cover of "My Humps."
I couldn't tell a dirt clod from a plate of caviar.

I think this song is cool and love the bit where Al gargles the tune.

But i love the music video ten times more. You have to watch it afew times to see all the small jokes (it helps if you have TUVC)

but all and all a good song! and he was nominated for best male video wasn't he?
I saw a face.
did it have a nose?
yes.
That DOES sound like a face!

Probably my favorite Weird Al song. Great parody of the whole grunge movement.
One of the moderators deleted one of my posts for some reason.

Well, I don't think he has the time to cram cookies in his mouth mid-performance!

(Trivia, for those who don't know: Al recalls stuffing cookies in his mouth to get the "marble" gag part of the lyrics across.)

Trivia right back at ya! Of all the things you could say...

It's not widely-known, but because Al works so hard during a performance and there's virtually no time for a break, he sometimes grabs a snack right onstage! In this rare photo, Bermuda is seen covering vocals while Al pops a cookie in his mouth!

...you said the wrong one.

When I think that this gig could have been given to someone who would actually have had fun doing it, well, it just seems like a terrible waste. http://open.salon.com/blog/beatchik/200 ... r_weird_al
