I remember Al was talking about Money for Nothing and in order to make the song Mark Knopfler said that he had to play the guitar solo. Has anyone else heard this?

Yes I've heard that. He told that story on the UHF commentary. And Al said
"Jim's guitar track sounded alot more like the original. Cause Mark had been on the road. But they put Marks on it cause you just can't copy that Mark Knopfler feel."
That's basically what Al said. Sorry been watching that way too much. But yes I've heard that.
