Yeah, they both are rare items. Peter & The Wolf is a rare item, and it's also a very expensive item. I would recomend something like the Like A Surgeon picture disc. I believe there is one on there right now, but if not, they do come up quite often. Or, an Another One Rides The Bus T.K. record. I'm not refering to the Placebo EP, though I'm keeping my eye out for one of those too. I know I'm going to need BIG BUCKS for one of those! I don't know, I guess just keep your eye open.

Hmm...Gump Single is never really expensive. And it has Spy Hard, which I need, considering I've been living off an MP3 of it. (Sorry, Al!) Same with Peter and the Wolf... :lookround:

Although it's only a little harder to track down now on the secondary market, "Gump" was probably the easiest Al single to find in stores (at least in relation to the days of CD and cassette singles). I recall seeing copies of the CD single as late as 1998.

Granted that could probably be said for a lot of different singles released today, but Al's never did have a long shelf life. "Headline News" was tough to come by when it was released. Even a big hit like "Amish Paradise," released just two months before "Gump," became a rarity by year's end.

So, "Gump" should be rather easy for a collector to find if they know where to look (such as a place named in a certain Backstreet Boys parody), and fortunately that should result in a cheap price.

Hmmm ... very cool. A 12 in promo record of "I Lost On Jeopardy / Mr. Popeil". I've already got most of the 12 inch promos [there are only about 7 of them, I believe] except "Living With A Hernia" and ... uh ... "C@GZ" [*snort* ...].

This particular one though is one of my favorites [I also like the "Fat" promo single because it's the only one with a picture sleeve] because it has a rare song on it -- "I Lost On Jeopardy (Extended Version)". Yup, this is the ONLY place in the US you can get ILOJ in a glorious 5 minute 31 second form, rather than the usual 3 minute 26 second form we're all familiar with. NO extra lyrics, though -- just more music. This particular copy is graded as a 9/10 [near mint], so the sound quality should be good too [provided you've got an old record player lying around ... ] And here's some more info about the record from All Things Yankovic, by ... I dunno ... some ... Catra-guy-person ... ;)

So, bid early and bid often on some rare Al, folks!!
