OK, this is embarassing to ask because I'm a child of the 80's and if I should know this already, I deserve to get 40 lashes from a whip, but....

After he does Nasty Boy by Janet Jackson, why does Al say He likes this part??

Not that he doesn't deserve to revel in his own polka stylings, but is there some meaning to this?

I believe he is refering to the similar section in "Harlem Shuffle" that preceeds the "Harlem Polka" section of the medley. Apparently he likes that part.

BTW, "Polka Party!" is my favorite of the 80's polkas, aside from THRP which doesn't really fit in the group of 80s music. I don't know why I like the song so much. Perhaps it's because the transitions between songs is smoother and more natural than the others. Maybe it's because I just really like the selection of songs in that one. I don't know!

Well, PP was my first polka from my first ALbum, so I love it! I think Al says "I like this part" because of a wacky sound of drums in that moment, and we all know for what kind of music he has a penchant, hehe!

Janet says "I like this part" right after the last chorus in "Nasty Boys."

Nasty boys don't mean a thing
Oh you nasty boys don't mean a thing to me
Nasty... don't mean a thing
Oh you nasty boys
(I like this part)

Dave
Yeah, I thought so. She's always seemed to have that annoying habit of talking over her songs.

Thanks, Dave.

I think she actually says "I love this part". *Ok, I used to have a workout tape that had a whole routine that went to that song.* Sue me. Also, I liked Janet's '80's songs.

4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

"Damita Jo" happened.

Anyway, Polka Party! is one of my favorites, and was the first (chronologically) polka for me. (My REAL first polka was AWBP) Great Polka.
