Yoda Chant

Post by scottidog »

Is the Yoda Chant a concert only thing? I know it is on WAY Live, but is it on any of the audio recordings? Imagine my disappointment when I popped my new cd into the player and NO CHANT!

Yoda Chant

Post by syxtfour »

A mystery to me for ages, what is the yoda chant? What are the words, its origin? All of this unknown to me. I am merely a young fan, only seventeen, but my quest for Al knowledge is great....

whoa, where'd that come from?

I believe it's asked and answered in Ask Al. If you go to the page use your browser's search feature (hey, it's Weirdal.com not amazon.com) and look for Yoda Chant.

Or, better yet read the whole thing. It's huge (something like 94 pages of text) but fascinating. Where else can you learn factoids such as:

Al never had braces. His preferred deodorant is Lime-scented Mennen Speed Stick. Or a dead racoon. And that he has never peed out of a bus window while it was moving.

Good stuff, huh?

Da Yoda Chant is a thing Al chants during Yoda or something like that in concerts....I think.

As for the words...uh...Go here. It's on that site somewhere...

I've memorized it! Hehe.

The Yoda Chant is the most wonderful chat, it comes in at the end of Yoda. It's wacky and wonderful.

Even though, there are different versions. There was a shorter version during BHT and newer version during TWS and OC.

This is the newer version: http://www.yankovic.org/WeirdAl/Unpubli ... achant.txt

It still hasn't made me my grilled cheese sandwich. I've been waiting patiently for it. ;)

Hey Sixtfour! You have a great avatar, d'you play accordion or something?

As for me, I'd love to hear Yoda Chant, but I don't get the idea. What is it actually?
