IICMLTB is pretty funny. I was just talking about this song to someone then I noticed there is a thread on it. I have heard it and it really isn't that bad. It's really more about seeing it from what I can tell. Al makes a big deal about needing the right lighting and does this really fast detailed classification of the song before it. It was funny. But in my copy there is some guy yelling "Rocky Road" over and over in the background. I want to kill him. Doesn't he know that 25 years later people will be needing a clear copy of this song!

I admit I haven't heard it (and probably, sadly, never will) but I DO think it sounds funny, just a bit... much?

You're talking to a girl whose friend can't say "package" without her laughing at him (maybe cos he says it so damned sexually  )

:D I saw Al perform it live in 1983 right before a Food Medley.

I've heard this song. When I first saw the lyrics, I didn't think it was funny. When I actually heard it, I liked it better.

Just a thought from reading all the posts in this topic: about that list of songs not by Al, some people probably don't think "Orgy on my Own" is actually by Al from the title...

Al probably didn't know what it meant when he wrote it, then 8 years later "Oh!"

That strikes me as an extremely dubious proposition. <_<

He's not an innocent, or a saint. He's a guy who occasionally pushes it to the edge, and I like him all the more for that. I think he could get a lot more edgy than that with no real damage to his reputation.
