I opened up the song in Adobe Audition.

I took that ending portion of which you speak and amplified it by a ton.

And you'd be correct.

Yeah, I noticed that it was faded out rather quickly at that point, like Al was trying a very, very early attempt at a fadeout gag!

Incidentally, that word is a bit garbled and muffled, probably because he shut off the tape right afterwards. But it does sound like it's meant to be part of the song. (It comes right after a little sound effects bit of Al failing to start his car.)

Yeah, this was definitely Al's first attempt at a fadeout gag. Nothing different from "you're just a pain in the ass" at the end of Phony Calls or "you cheap bastard" at the end of DDTS.

It makes me think about what's really going on in Al's head...
