That isn't right that they did that!!!!

I wonder if you buy the CD if it gives reference to it in the pamphlet?

Maybe thats why he was buying it?

Then again, maybe not. I always skip Taco Grande. He might too ;)
You have quickly thought up such matchless phrase?

They might have given credit in the album's liner notes.

What? Original version?? Just hearing a few seconds of that was enough. It was terrible. How can they get away with calling that cover the original version?? I smell a lawsuit for sure!
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

i dont think Al will sue them. in that video it kinda seemed like....idk. but it didnt seem like he was REALLY mad about it. maybe annoyed. and i think he's too nice of a guy to sue them. i think he would just do something else. idk what. but...

I think if anything he'd just say, "Hey, that's my song." They, Disney/Pixar, probably don't want any kind of lawsuit, so they'd send some cash over. That way all court stuff wouldn't have to happen.

Honestly though, that's a horrendous version of the song. Completely and utterly horrible.

This is the best solution .. an attorney's letter (we call it a solicitor's letter here) ought to be enough to rectify any oversight, accidental or deliberate. I'm sure avoidance of adverse publicity would be a good incentive for Disney to cough up the dough

Do you guys really think that Disney/Pixar's legal team would allow Disney/Pixar to illegally release something. While it would have been the kind thing to do, I doubt that it's required by law to give credit in the pamphlet. All that really has to be done, is Disney/Pixar would have had to obtain a mechanical rights license, which isn't hard. It's been a while since I've looked in to Mechanical Rights licensing, but I've been working on a projects that requires it. I don't think permission has to be obtained from Al himself, but rather from The Harry Fox Agency, who I believe would pay Al royalties. If anybody knows more about this than I do, then feel free to add or take away from what I have said.
