Well, the second legs of the '96, '00, '03, etc tours were all many months apart.

Actually, I have had this whole concept for a while, it has just taken a while for me to post something about it.

I would classify the AlCan tour as the dates Al played IN CANADA. So what if the setlist was pretty much Alapalooza?

It was the first time Al played outside the US and they apparently wanted to market it as such.

It was Al's parody of ALCON '98, three years early.

Al had played a few Toronto dates previously, but '95 was their first EXTENSIVE Canadian tour, to capitalize on the double platinum success of Alapalooza up there, not to mention the attention "Headline News" was getting as Al's first parody single of a Canadian band. MuchMusic even gave him a camcorder to document all the madness. It was also the first time they'd ever played Alaska, who were pretty much glad ANYONE was playing up there.

I consider it as its own tour. Except for a few random dates at the end, it's purpose was to tour Canada and Alaska to promote "Alapalooza". They marketed it as such. It had it's own name. Plus it was the only concerts they did in 1995, except a few one shot deals later in the year. It's different from when during the SOL tour, they toured Australia and then took a few months off and toured the U.S. They promoted that as the start of the SOL tour, which happened to be overseas, but would eventually make its way to the U.S. under the same name.

I can see the similarities in the set I think the reason why they are so similar is because Al had no new songs out.

The 1st time Al played outside of U.S was on The First Tour.
