I can understand the Folsom shows being shortened, since there are three shows in 2 days at the same venue. Eugene makes sense, too, since it is at a fair where they might be restricted on time.

There's no obvious reason to me why they would shorten the show in Beverly. They have played 2 full shows there in the past, and it's a shorter drive to the next gig than it was the last time they were there.

I hope this isn't a sign of how the concerts will be in future years...
Well, they DO have to drive to Burlington the next day.. and I agree, I hope this is not a future sign. my mother said no to this show since it's 90 minutes (SHE WANTS MORE AL! ;) ) but the Burlington show is still a possibility! :D

I think the SOL tour also had a bunch of shortened sets. The show I went to during the 2008 leg had 3 songs dropped and it wasn't even mentioned on the tour page.

Maybe they're planning another show at this venue?

I wouldn't worry about it being a sign of things to come, remember they dropped the opening act on the last tour so they could have longer sets.

I decided to buy tickets to this show after all. I bought them directly from the venue, and got great seats (and for less money than going through PAID)! We're in Row B, which is normally the 2nd row, but in our section, it is the first row because there is an "orchestra pit" in front of the section. :yay:

Thinking about this one.... The shortened setlist is pretty weird, especially for the price.... Did Al meet people after the show last time?

Last time Al was here, in 2007, he met backstage with people who had passes, but there was no public meet & greet.
Many fans (including me & my family) waited by the buses for a very long time because we were told by venue staff that he would be coming out to greet fans. Unfortunately, we were told later that he would NOT be coming out, and the buses drove away.

aw man..... I've been to 6 shows in the past year or so and have never even gotten him outside the bus :/
Not that I'm complaining- i mean, he always puts on hell of a show! But i've always wanted to meet him. it wouldn't bug me as much if security was a bit nicer... so how do people manage to get passes?

You have to know someone in the band, someone on the crew, or someone who works at the venue, and even then there aren't any guarantees.

We're going. And we are bringing newbies. It shall be a hoot.

And hmmmm...Westbury is the night before. Hope no one gets motion sick from all the rotating stages.

Are there any plans for a pre-show meetup?
