POLL: Which Originals Would You Most Like To See?

Post by TMBJon »

The original songs listed here were not performed live during the Vanity Tour or the Mandatory Fun Tour, and many of them have never been played live AT ALL!

Which ones would you most like to see Al and the band work into an upcoming setlist?

Hardware Store will probably be the runaway fave here, and I wouldn't *not* want to see it attempted, but I said back when SOL came out, it seemed like Virus Alert caught people by surprise and I'd want to see that one get some time in the sun.

Pretty surprised it didn't make it to the Vanity Tour, honestly....seems like an obvious choice

Virus Alert has very challenging vocals. I can't see that one getting done live without a backing track. I was saddened that Everything You Know Is Wrong didn't get played, since I know TMBG themselves could have easily handled it live! Also strange that Don't Wear Those Shoes was completely overlooked...

If Virus Alert ever gets done live, I'm sure it would be done in a key that negates the switching to falsetto (kind of like Young Dumb & Ugly). In Tacky, he was able to get away with the backing tracks doing the occasional phrase here and there ("Never let", "Think it's fun", etc.), but using that same technique for Virus Alert would mean that most of the vocals would be backing track, which he wouldn't do.
