I thought so too. Maybe the look of the hat was a fortunate coincidence.

I know I'm late to the party, but I like this song and video :Y Good music--after hearing it, I checked out some stuff by Southern Culture on the Skids--and despite all the celebrities mentioned, I can see this song aging well.

Finally!! The local classic rock radio station here in Ottawa played a "Weird Al" Yankovic original! Just heard Lame Claim To Fame and then they had people call in with their lame claims. They never ever play Al on our classic rock station and I always whine about that so that's good.

LCTF is definitely my favorite song from MF. IMO it's one of the best originals of all time. The video is also just pure genius!

A disabled woman just posted this link on twitter - http://rebelwheelssoapbox.tumblr.com/po ... l-fan-with" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
She calls Al out for using the word "lame", and posts both definitions. Not once did I think Al was referencing someone who can't walk. I really think some people are over-sensitive. She used the term "ableist", which I hadn't heard until all of the uproar about the use of "spastic" in "Word Crimes". So, this woman has never referred to anything sub-standard or weak as "lame"? Really? Spare me.

Next thing zoologists publishing their research on beavers will be blamed for profanity :wacko:

Haha! For sure. Reminds me of Leslie Nielson in "The Naked Gun" - "Nice beaver".

Seriously? People really need to get lives. So this woman thinks Al was saying that he had a claim to fame that left him unable to walk? That's just laughable.

Haha, good one, Kevbo. How in the hell is "lame" in this context ableist? Btw, who came up with that term? My angel Derek was in a wheelchair most of his life, and not once did I ever hear that word. I think that term is :lame: , and all of you know what I mean.
