I think the polka is perfect, but if it's missing anything it's one or two of the roots-rock bands that were super popular and completely ignored on this album. "I Will Wait" by Mumford & Sons, "Ho Hey" by the Lumineers, etc

I'm just gonna hope for a Mumford style parody in the future.

I usually don't think of "Should've been in the polka" songs, but man, now that you bring it up, Ho Hey would've been awesome

I suspect that Mumford & Sons may have temporarily immunized themselves from receiving Al's professional attention because they did such a wonderful job of parodying themselves in the Hopeless Wanderer video.

I'm gonna agree with some others here, that some kind of Mumford/Lumineers style should've been included. Both have had big enough songs.

I decided to fact-check this. "Alpocalypse" and "Sorry for Party Rocking" came out on the same day. So, you're right but also wrong at the same time.
Wow. I didn't know that. Thanks. Funnily, I have both albums uploaded on my playlist.

what if instead of doing best song ever he did story of my life or any other song on midnight memories because the whole thing was like a mumford and sons style parody in itself. just a little one direction humor for you. thanks. thank you.

Hey so like, why wasn't The Fox by Ylvis in the polka?

1) Al said that he didn't want to parody it because it was already a comedy song basically. But so was Thrift Shop? And that was in the polka
2) He also said that he likes to choose songs that would make for good sound effects and The Fox has plenty of that, right. Or was Best Song Ever/Gangnam Style enough for that?

Also why does the polka only have like five songs

I mean it's still the best polka ever but maybe it could have been even MORE of the best polka ever idk Al's the master here not me :accordion:

Thrift Shop isn't really a comedy song, is it? I mean it's light hearted but so are a lot of songs. Beverly Hills by Weezer is at least as much of a comedy song as Thrift Shop, for instance, and that was on a polka.
