2003 WOWAY Awards

Post by sarley27 »

As suggested on another post, I am organizing first ever WOWAY awards. Here are the categories:

Most Helpful

Best Avatar (Photo)

Best Avatar (Non-photo)

Funniest Jokes

Best Links/Investigator

Lifetime Achievement (ie, you have no life ;)

Best Topic

The coveted WEIRDEST POSTER award

And a finished category:

Person you'd most like to see posting (in joke category)

-Prince

-Coolio

-Missing Persons

-Snoop Dogg

-Michael Stipe

Who will you nominate??? (Only NOMINATE two per category)

This is not a contest, don't feel bad if you lose. It just gives out mad props to people... word up dog.

Plus, I don't want to ship trophies to people.

Good luck. Don't post too much.

Maybe it needs to be set up in such a way that we can vote or (maybe donate points), and if we donate points, should it just be a set amount

(like 5 or 10 points), or do we want to make it unlimited?

If unlimited, we'd need some way to keep track.

Maybe a poll could be set up with a list of 4 names to vote for without indicating who nominated whom. Should we send private messages to

you, Sarley? If we just start tossing out names in posts, it would be very difficult to keep it organized.

And maybe the contest could be held semi-annually, and the winners

announced of the 27th of April and October?

What do you think? Would Whizzi be OK with this idea? Would he have

any suggestions or preferences?

Whizzi? Is this OK? If it is, send me PM's. I will eventually post up nominees, then the votes will be PM'ed to me. You will have to donate 20 weird points total to vote for everything (not individual) Thanks!!! Eric. Vote.

Anyone like my avatar? I made it using a Terry Bogard Sprite from Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves.

Why yes I do like it!. Although I have no idea what any of that means (sorry, I'm not into animee), it's quite colorful and dynamic. It's like something I imagine Al would use as an avatar.

Very Nice :bigups:

Considering those categories, I'm not gonna win any. But I'll still vote.
I'm ranking every Beatles song on my new pop culture blog. Check it out!

Well, I'm definitely in the running for "Lifetime Achievement."

Can I nominate myself for a special "too many syllables" award? Maybe with a nice trophy sponsored by dictionary.com? :lookround:

OK, do we even have to SAY that Scottidog wins (keyboards down) for best non-pic avitar? I mean, COME ON! :)

And Dr. Dad wins for most helpful

Oh, OK, so I nominate them or vote for them in those categories. Plus they are just great all around people to associate with.
