To all of my friends from Al Fest 2009, thank you for a wonderful day. Can't believe it's only been a year. So much has happened within this community let alone the rest of the world. I look forward to the next Al Fest, and hopefully someone will remember to invite Weird Al next time.

Yes, happy AL FEST-aversary!, as Alejandra tweeted. I have a lot of good memories of that day, and it's nice to hear that others do, too. There are two couples who met at AL FEST who are still going strong. Not a bad year, huh?
