i never understood the naming of the Poodle Hat album. what does it mean, or what is it parodying with its title and cover art? most of his albums seem pretty obvious as far as their titles, but that one always baffled me.

and mayonnaise is disgusting.

I can't remember if I've ever said it, but I really don't like Taco Grande.

Don't know why, exactly, but it freaks me out

I always assumed it was a reference to Al's hair -- it's so thick and curly it's like wearing a poodle on your head. I have no idea about the album cover, though.

I always figured Poodle Hat was just a non-sequitur. There's a poodle, and he's wearing it as a hat. There you go.

He once joked in a Dr. Demento interview that he got the idea when Bela crawled into bed with him and Suzanne one night and sat on top of his head. He turned to Suzanne and said "look honey, poodle hat..."

I would eat mayonnaise on a pre-made sandwich (and therefore I had no choice as to its condiments), but I would not request it.

I know nothing about ordering sandwiches (are burgers sandwiches? Anyway, I never make special requests), but I use mayonnaise to make sandwiches - mainly because I'm lazy and it's so much easier to spread than butter.

Here's an opinion that's sure to be unpopular:

I'm not actually an Al fan. :oo In spite of your tearful denial, you know it to be true. I've been playing everyone on this site for fools for over eight years now. It's all a part of my extremely vague master plan that somehow requires Al fans, and Al fans specifically, believe that I am one of them. Count your blessings, Al fans; your time has come!

Also, I think UHF (the movie) is kind of overrated.
