CBB 510 - "Zach Galifianakis"

Post by TMBJon »

Zach Galifianakis Wears Rolled Khakis and Shoes with Brown Laces
It’s the 100th episode and Scott reveals some surprising plans. But when an accident puts the future in jeopardy, Zach Galifianakis, "Weird Al" Yankovic, and the Comedy Bang! Bang! gang look back on their favorite memories of Scott.
Here is an awesome sneak peak scene from this episode:

I'm guessing this will be a "clip" show, in the same vein that Paradigms of Human Memory was for Community?

Welp, I was right in a way...

Wow, 100 episodes! I can't believe that's how many episodes of Fraiser are on these BluRays!
Please be quiet, I'm talking now.
I'm not a doctor, I'm a set medic
This is not a clip show! I want real memories
Loved the Jersey Boys parody
Zach hitting Scott in the crotch with a baseball bat to jog is memory was great
"No, and to make matters worse, now my balls kind of hurt!"
Slow Joey getting hit with the baseball bat after it was thrown
Loved the deer head telling it's story about how it met Scott
Scott and Al in the war, taking the identities of dead soldiers was amazing.
Slow Joey saying he was one of the world's greatest thieves, then being an internet pirate.
Screw it, there will always be another mission to Mars!
... And of course Scott was just faking.

Fantastic! Congrats on 100 episodes, Jon, Al, and the rest of the CBB crew!

Definitely liked this one better than the Kristen Schaal/Weird Sal episode. All the various flashbacks were funny. I couldn't help but think while watching this that the clip show became such a reviled TV trope so early on that now the fake clip show seems beaten to death after so many shows have done a play on it likr South Park, Community, Ed, Edd & Eddy.

I wouldn't exactly call this episode a clip show, though at the same time wasn't exactly not a clip show either. It was a clip show in so far as it had a framing device as an excuse to show short scenes of things the characters remember. But it was not a clip show in that the memories in question weren't things that (could have) happened during the timeframe of the actual show.

I did like all the different little stories. Particularly Joey's former life as a hardcore criminal downloader.

It does raise one question though. If Al was not originally Al Yankovic, then how is his evil twin brother Sal from the previous episode also still a Yankovic?
Love and peace.
