(Seriously, WAR that post makes no sense.)

Everytime I play the actual Pac-Man at my local laundromat, I always think about this song.

Weird Al should do more Beatles parodies because The Beatles are awesome.

Actually I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to tackle the Beatles again for his final album (assuming he knows it's his final album in advance). That would be a worthwhile endeavor for him to tackle: trying to do the Beatles justice. I think he came pretty close with Pac-Man, but certainly he could do better now after a career of experience...

I for one agree with this statement. The Beatles were a staple in the 60's and it surprises me that Al stopped with "Pac-Man". I will admit that I liked Pac-Man [both the classic arcade game and Al's song] and often wondered how it would've sounded if it made its way to Al's debut album back in 1983.

TMBJon, I want to add that a Beatles parody on the new album, while delightful is highly unlikely, with Lennon and Harrison now deceased; especially with Al's method of getting a parody out.

Hey, Al's done the Beatles a few times in his career...

* "Pac-Man"
* "You Never Gave Me A Tune-Up" (coffee house song - parody of "You Never Give Me Your Money")
* "Hey Food" (coffee house song - parody of "Hey Jude"... no, this isn't the Sesame Street song, I'm sure)
* "Polkas On 45" has "Hey Jude" in it

Not to mention...

* "(This Song's Just) Six Words Long" - parody of George's "Got My Mind Set On You"
* "Chicken Pot Pie" - parody of Paul's "Live And Let Die"
* 'I'VE GOT BLISTERS ON MY FINGERS!' in "Patterns"

Damn, that's it??

TheLazenby, I overlooked all of that, I was thinking primarily of Pac-Man when I instigated my original post, but still, it would be neat to have Al release an updated version of Pac-Man, perhaps sound closer to the Original song itself.

There's also "Gee, I'm a Nerd" ("Free as a Bird") which Yoko turned down because there was no way of knowing what John would've thought of it (although that hasn't stopped her from cheapening his name and branding it on everything from sunglasses to baby dolls)...so I would imagine that any Beatles group parodies would be concert-only unfortunately.
I'm ranking every Beatles song on my new pop culture blog. Check it out!
