I think the song isn't as gross as everyone is making it out to be. It's not like he talks about the colors or odors or texture or anything like that. It's a story involving boogers... I like it. Let us all not forget how when we first saw the track title and listened to the song, it wasn't the boogie a lot of us expected (You got me Al!), and I still think that using the word Boogie that way to a disco song makes Gotta Boogie a fine Al tune. It was his first album, some songs were not as good. And I'm sure Al would agree that his earlier stuff wasn't very good. Al has improved and has become a much better at what he does. And this song just isnt his best. I guess if that is putting him on too high of standard then sorry.
