Does either of our guitar guys play this type of guitar? If so, there's the connection. If not, I'm stumped.

you mean jim or steve? no, neither one plays a les paul. however, some of the people al has parodied plays them, and someone who al "interviewed", his guitarist plays them, and has played onstage with les paul himself, so there's a connection there, but i'll let you figure out who it is............ :F

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

ok, looks like no one gets the connection, so here goes nothing

les paul invented the solid body electric guitar, and called it the gibson les paul.
many many people play this type of guitar, many that were parodied, by al, "interviewed", or other things. for example, george harrison played a les paul in the revolution video, and george was parodied by al, or you can also say zac hanson played a les paul when hanson was on the weird al show, or zakk wylde appeared onstage with les paul. zakk is the guitarist for ozzy osbourne, who was interviewed by al. so there were numerous possibilites to run with this, but it looks like no one took it. no big deal, and sorry i stumped everyone. so, i guess i'll give someone who's a little bit more easier to do

Jeff Lynne produced George Harrison's "Got My Mind Set on You," which Al parodied with "(This Song's Just) Six Words Long."

Grace Kelly appeared in Bridges at Toko-Ri with William Holden, who was in The Towering Inferno with OJ Simpson, who was in the Naked Gun movies with Weird Al Yankovic.

Esa-Pekka Salonen.
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.
