Well, he could be suggesting to do it this season.Bruce the Duck @ Dec 13 2004, 03:27 PM wrote: BTW, this whole conversation belongs in the general Survivor thread, not All Stars.![]()

Well that's exactly what we do for the actual Survivor.Bruce the Duck @ Dec 13 2004, 06:27 PM wrote: I don't know about that anth. I mean, how interested would people be in reading about what happened in a game that's already over, for all practical purposes? How many people actually pay attention to the game if they're no in it? I'd guess not too many.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

Kevbo, I think you're misunderstanding what anth means. He's suggesting that for a future season, we hold the whole thing elsewhere, not on the forum. Then, when the game is done, we post the challenges that were played in order, once a week, along with the winner, and then the tribal councils. But like I said, I don't think it'll work. This game is better played live on the forum.Kevbo1987 @ Dec 13 2004, 06:39 PM wrote: Well that's exactly what we do for the actual Survivor.
One variation on anth's idea, however, would be if everyone in the game saves all of their correspondence with other players and/or compiles a log of how they're playing as they go. You'd keep track of alliances, phony and real, agreements made with others, etc. Then, when the game is finished, everyone in the game would post their "log" so that everyone can see what was going on behind the scenes. That way we would maintain the "live" game, but we would still have something that is hidden (as it always is) that can be shared after the game is over.
BTW, there are still THREE people who haven't confirmed their spots in All STars (Elvis is one of them.

My idea is that WHiZZi sets up a separate forum that nobody but the players, hosts, and moderators can see. Then, once the game was over, we could begin to move threads out of the locked forum and into P&G so that nobody but the players know what happens each time. Maybe we could just wait until about halfway through the game and then start posting them. Plus it would be much cooler to see how the winner reacts after waiting so long to find out the final results.
It would also be cool because then we could do Early Show-style chats with the players in the chatroom.
As Kevbo said, it works for the real Survivor, I don't see a reason why it wouldn't work here. Also, if we locked the Game Play thread, it would prevent people from chit-chatting there...
And yeah, it should have been in General Discussion. I forgot about that topic!

I'm ranking every Beatles song on my new pop culture blog. Check it out!

I paid attention to S2 and S3 even though I was nothing more than a spectator for both games.Bruce the Duck @ Dec 13 2004, 06:27 PM wrote: How many people actually pay attention to the game if they're no in it? I'd guess not too many.

Yeah, GIM, but you're just one person. How many other people did that? I'd guess not very many. I don't know. I just don't think it'd work.
Oh, and BTW, anth, as for the comment about the chit chatting, thanks for reminding me. I will be very strict about chit chatting in the Game Play thread and during Tribal Council Chats. No offense, but during the last season, you guys let a lot of things slide and it turned into a free for all both in the game play thread and during TC chats. While there's nothing wrong with going a little off on a tangent in most instances, it can be VERY annoying reading the chat transcripts when there's a bunch of nonsense to wade through.
I will be counting on you, anth, as well as Elvis to help me keep the chit chat where it belongs on the forum. Any chit chat will be moved into the chit chat thread if posted in the wrong thread. A few times is no big deal, but if the same person continues to post chit chat in the wrong thread, I may penalize them in the game. (hehe, I said penalize!)
Of course, to all the other players, while Elvis and anth will be using their moderator duties to help keep the threads clean, they will not take advantage of their moderator powers. They won't, for instance, remove or edit someone's post unless said post is directly violating forum rules. So, Driew, you don't need to worry about anth deleting all of your answers during any of the challenges!

No, I understood what he was saying. As I said, it's the same thing we do for the actual Survivor.Bruce the Duck @ Dec 13 2004, 06:48 PM wrote: Kevbo, I think you're misunderstanding what anth means.
