KISS (or at least singer/bassist Gene Simmons) did voices in an episode of Family Guy with Seth Green, who made a guest appearance on the Drew Carey Show. Drew Carey was in "It's All About The Pentiums."

Benny Golson performed with Ron Carter on the album "Stardust".
Ron Carter performed with Tony Bennett on the album "Jazz".
Tony Bennett has performed with Billy Joel.
Al parodied Billy Joel with "Ode To A Superhero" and "It's Still Billy Joel To Me."

ty gim, but there was a quicker, more direct route that i was looking for:

benny golson was in the terminal with tom hanks.
tom hanks was in forrest gump, which al made a song about.

i'm suprised you didn't get the obvious connection but it's all good

Since nobody has guessed Gilby Clarke yet, here's a hint:

He is a guitarist...... and was in a band...... which did a ton of covers..... and that's all I can say.

( All this coming up with a hint is making me hungry. I think I'll go get a slice of chicken pot pie.)

(had to cheat and use Google.)

Gilby Clarke was in Guns 'n Roses. Al visually parodied GnR in the "UHF" video.

Don't know if that counts, since Gilby wasn't in the band at that time. If it does, the next name is Milton Berle.

Jeff Goldblum was in Jurassic Park, which Al made a song about.

What are the rules about film soundtracks? (rather, if a song was not done specifically for a movie, would a connection between the song's artist and the actors in the movie count?)

BTW, Dave, I will accept yours for Gilby Clarke.

You mean as in so and so has a song in such and such movie, which had so and so in it? I guess that would be ok, but there is a MUCH easier way to link Angus to Al *(Hint:think about who inducted AC/DC into the rock and roll hall of fame...........)*
