For now, discuss it in that topic; if we ever get news about it we'll start a new one.

Since QAWAF is starting a forum to support the effort, he's going to make a new topic which will be moved to the Links section.

Anth, if I'm not here when he gets the topic finished, will you do the honors?

I've been a long time "Weird Al" Yankovic fan since his first album came out. I know from reading past interviews Al was influenced by artists like Frank Zappa and Spike Jones. My question is, what does "Weird Al" think of the nuclear polka band, Brave Combo?? They've been around for over 25 years and I think if Alfred hasn't heard of them already, he really should check them out. "Weird Al" and Brave Combo have a lot in common. Both have brought back polka music in a very cool way, introducing this "forgotten music" to a new generation. I would be in accordion heaven O-) if Brave Combo and "Weird Al" could come together and record an album someday. That would be so cool. I can always dream. :inlove:

I know of two additional interesting factoids that "Weird Al" Yankovic and Brave Combo have in common .... they are all vegetarians and have been immortalized in an episode of "The Simpsons" (in recent TV history)! Matt Groening is a fan of both artists like I am!

Polkatively speaking,

Culture Club taught me love and acceptance and Weird Al taught me not to take life so seriously.

Well, Al has yet to work with Brave Combo, but Al fans have a very strong connection with them, as a few years ago some nutball from Texas with a disturbing Brave Combo fixation began harassing members on the old Weird Al newsgroup. It was (and is) quite bizarre.

I want to know if there is a topic I can post my drawings of Al.....I didn't want to make one, I just couldn't find one....But if there isn't, I can make one....I highly doubt it though....

Fanart? You can post on there without making it to weirdal.com?
