It is odd, but I have to believe that it's nothing more than a coincidence. I mean, they wouldn't delay the entire season just because Al's album's been delayed.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

Oh? Was the entire season delayed? You're right, if so.

Most likely, and that's kinda why I was trying to put what I said in a "Well, if the episode has to air in conjunction with the album release" perspective. That original July airdate was probably just an early rumor or wishful thinking on someone's part.

I don't know how it works for the Adult Swim stuff, but Cartoon Network often splits seasons of shows in half (i.e., the first half of a "Justice League" season would air in October, then the remaining episodes would air the next April).

Well, we knew that Al was planning to release his album on June 27th, so a July release date would have made sense.

Well, more like cut in half. I believe an episode aired on June 4th, and the next new episode isn't scheduled to air until September.

Yeah, it has nothing to due with Al's album release date. Adult Swim just cut the season in half and is airing the other half starting September 17, with Al's episode tentatively scheduled for October 22.

However, if we are speculating on it involving release dates, I wouldn't expect it to air one or two months after the album release date. I think the most reasonable release date would be in August or September. This is due to the fact of the 5.1 Surround Sound being offered with the songs. Not only does Al have to write, produce, mix, and record the new song(s). He also has to get them into the 5.1 Surround Sound, unless it will not be offered with the new song(s). Then I would expect the reasonable release date to be July or August.

A minute and a half? That'd be long for them! Some sketches are a second or two long...

Well if Robot Chicken did do something for Al, it looks like Al had them out it on hold.
