This doesn't seem like a song Al would do. I dunno why, it just... doesn't.

Not my favorite subject of humor, but I don't think animal cruelty is off-limits to Al. At least when he does touch the subject, he does it in such an absurd way it's hard to take seriously.

On his MySpace page, Al lists Tom Lehrer as one of his influences, and one of Tom Lehrer's most famous songs is Poisoning Pigeons in the Park. It even appears as the lead off track on one of Dr. D's albums, just before Yoda.

We'll murder them all amid laughter and merriment
Except for the few we take home to experiment

My pulse will be quickenin' with each drop of strych-a-nin'
We feed to a pigeon
It just takes a smidgen
To poison a pigeon in the park

So... who knows!

Hey, good point, U62! Didn't someone see a rumor that he was doing a Tom Lehrer style parody? I know that was likely complete fabrication, but who knows?

Personally, PPitP is a Tom Leher songs I really have a problem listening to.
You can explain it until the cows come home, but it's just too cruel to me to be funny.

I sort of get the same vibe about Weasel Stomping Day (if it IS an Al song), because it makes me think of that awful video PETA showed several months ago about some people in the KFC factory/slaughterhouse stomping on chickens.

I'll just have to wait.
AL! You ATE Harvey!? YOU ATE HARVEY/??!!

The point about Tom Lehrer is very interesting. "Weasel Stomping Day" definitely sounds like something Lehrer would do. It does seem to sound a little outside of Al's style, but I can picture it being an extremely goofy and nonsensical song.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

I know I walk this road alone, but I have no problem with animal cruelty. I find great humor in that kind of thing (NEDM, anyone?).

I would shoot right through the ceiling if he did something in the style of Tom Lehrer.

Actually, the first thought I had when I saw that title originally was "Nobody Here But Us Frogs." It seems like it'll be just completely random silliness, something Al hasn't done on a song since EYKIW. Just a hunch.

Well, I'm not a fan of animal cruelty (or ANY kind of cruelty, for that matter!) in real life. But I can also seperate Al singing about something in a jocular vein, and workers at a KFC slaughterhouse slamming chickens against the wall. Unless the video features Al literally stomping on weasels, I don't see what the big deal would be. Al employs cartoony violence against humans and animals in his songs all the time. To my knowledge, someone is yet to be actually physically hurt by any of Al's songs. :D

And yeah, I could definitely see WSD as a Tom Lehrer-style song. Just Al jovially singing about the weasels, accompanied solely by a piano.

I have a feeling this song will have a runtime similar to Harvey the Wonder Hamster or Let Me Be Your Hog.
This means something. This is important.
