You know, I was kind of surprised that the song wasn't more anti-filesharing. From the comments he's made about it, Al does seem to take a dim view of it personally, but in the song all the jokes were at the expense of the greedy rock stars and the hamfisted RIAA.

But I'm slightly disappointed with the "crack" reference. If not for that bit, I'd be able to share the song with my students tomorrow. Oh well!

I'm still not hearing this cheap Ba$$tard part is it after the second chours or right after it fades out? or somewhere before that the lyrics don't have it in there
Okay I've listened to this about ten times now. Seriously, the only joke I can find in it is if Al wrote this as a "Wouldn't it be funny if a bunch of artists actually banded together to write a song like this?" but other than that, the lyrics just aren't funny.

SPOILER Eh.. I don't think it's really that good compared to Al's other stuff.. I dunno.. I think he would have been better off releasing White and Nerdy. It's probably going to be recieved a lot better than this song.. this seems like a throw-away original.. not a world premiere.
Is this topic allowed to have spoilers, if that is one?
Edit: There.
