Yeah, Al would be in trouble with all the treats he gets from fans. He can't deny those treats, you know. :)

Conversely, though, we can't expect Al (or the band) to eat EVERYTHING they get from the fans on tour, or Al wouldn't need the Fat suit and the band would be playing rock 'n' roll with the emphasis on the roll. Patti's works of art aside, it's probably better to be prudent about edible gifts.

Hauling this back on-topic :lookaround: let's remember that Al picked the topic of weasel-stomping because he found it disgusting.
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

Okay, then...

Fun fact: Twisting celery is suppose to give the sound effect of tendons breaking.

This is what I get for being a broadcast major. I know we only saw Al bite into the celergy, but he could've twisted it...yeah. :lookaround:

Perhaps if I ever see Al live, I will get my Dad to get his BRILLIANT vegan pizza. Mmmmmmmmmm! He'd like it.

I've had vegan pizza before, its actually pretty good when its done right.

I still think the song ALMOST went too far- maybe if the sound effects were turned down to half the decibes compared to the rest of the song, I would be able to listen to it without semi-cringing. But I still LIKE the song, its just not my fav.

To anyone still offended by "Weasel Stomping Day," I wanted to share this. With the recent release of "The Little Mermaid," I am reminded of this great song from the movie, which is every bit as graphic (and funny) in its depiction of the slaughtering of animals as WSD. And this is from a G-rated Disney movie from two decades ago.

Les poissons, les poissons
How I love les poissons
Love to chop and to serve little fish
First I cut off their heads
Then I pull out their bones

Ah mes oui, savez toujours delice

Les poissons, les poissons
Hee hee hee, haw haw haw
With a cleaver I hack them in two
I pull out what's inside

And I serve it up fried
God, I love little fishes, don't you?

Here's something for tempting the palette
Prepared in the classic technique
First you pound the fish flat with a malette
Then you slash off their skin
Give their belly a slice

Then you rub some salt in
'Cause it makes it taste nice

Zoot alors, I have missed one!

Sacre bleu, what is this?
How on earth could I miss
Such a sweet little succulent crab
Quel Domage, what a loss
Here we go, in the sauce
Now some flour I think just a dab
Now I stuff you with bread
Don't worry, 'cause you're dead!
And you're certainly lucky you are
'Cause it's gonna be hot in my big silver pot!
Tout-aloo mon poisson
Au revoir

I'd be willing to bet everyone here who's offended by WSD has seen at least one movie where people get killed. It's the same thing. It's entertainment.

Get over it.

Wow, that's a song in the movie, Bruce? Wow. It sorta doesn't surprise me... Look at the original cover closely. Most spacificly, the castle. *WARNING-- It's kinda explicit, view at own risk*

 That was edited out. Snope it, if you don't know what we mean.

I don't think it's our job to try to convince people that WSD isn't offensive. That's such a subjective matter. It's just an opinion, they don't need us shoving our own ideas down their throats.

I just find it funny that people have no problem with Al stabbing his boss in the face or stuffing Larry into a big plastic bag, but if he stomps on a weasel they get all offended.

Just like PETA, no respect for people.
