I'm stickin' with Al's original date.
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

Sounds good to me, and I won't be bringing the mayo.

The grin kills me every single time I see it. Ever.
any one else out there think he looks a lot like Dick Cheney? I guess stomping weasels would be safer than shooting them with a shot gun for him

I was playing Al on shuffle... and Don't Wear Those Shoes came up.

I almost forgot! WSD isn't the first "animal-stomping" reference.

And think how far pre-Bela that was! Creepy, if you ask me...I think Al was destined for poodle ownership.

Oh, and the owner that came with it.

;)

Has anybody counted his pre-Bela poodle jokes? There were quite a few of them.

I don't know how many there were off hand, but just after RWS came out I was working on a project that included a quiz where the answers were items featured in Al's songs, and poodles were on the list back then.

Veering even further off the topic of weasels, here's XVR27's Poodle Reference List.

The only poodle references I can think of off-hand that didn't make this list are the silhouetted poodles in the background of the "Spy Hard" video and the dancing-poodle act from "The Compleat Al." But yes, I think Al was destined to have a poodle come into his life.

I have no idea if anyone has said this already, but do you think
Weasel Stomping Day was created to "get back at" the flesh-eating weasels that latched onto Al's face in Albuquerque?
