Spoiler:
I like that he took the "Complicated Song" direction with this one. Both verses are funny and fit the song perfectly, and at this point it's actually kind of refreshingly retro to hear a (partial) food song. I agree that it kind of feels like a concert medley song, but for one track that's fine by me. 'Though based on my peek at the thread (haven't actually listened yet), "Sports Song" also appears to be a bit of a throwaway/filler type track, so putting the two back-to-back is kind of curious.

I wouldn't call either of them "throwaway" tracks. They both hold up very well. Though, I think both should have been later on in the album. Like tracks 9 and 10 maybe.

Spoiler:
I understand the comments about the song feeling too short or needing another verse to extend the Foil concept, but I don't think it would have worked in this case. The jump from mundanely storing food to bizarre conspiracy theories is really only going to work once. I don't think anything can top the tin foil hat concept for nuttiness, but if his verses went Food/ComicCon/Conspiracies I think it would lose its effectiveness because you already know a theme change is coming (and nothing about switching from Food to costumes or whatever would be nearly as funny as jumping to conspiracy theories after an obnoxious tea slurp, so the rule of threes would kill the joke!).

You have a point, but it worked in "A Complicated Song." You knew the theme change was coming, but the "Decapitated" verse still came out of nowhere and was suitably shocking.

Spoiler:
He had waaaay more freedom to explore concepts with the "rhymes with -ated" theme, versus being locked into using foil as a punchline. This forum could hardly think of 3 good Foil jokes!

True. There aren't a whole lot of things you can do with aluminum foil. Maybe a verse about making a baked potato? :P

I was actually hoping he'd use the "Complicated" concept on "Radioactive," as there are tons of things that he could have rhymed with that. But oh well.

Spoiler:
While I would have preferred strict adherence to the Rule of Threes (it's a rule for reason, Al; WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE???), this is still pretty good. Not my favorite parody and still can't help thinking what he would've done with the "Spoilers" theme, but it least it wasn't all about food.

I really enjoyed this one too, though the song got a lot stronger in the second verse.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

Spoiler:
The song does a very good job of playing with and then rewarding expectations. The "conspiracy theory" angle was speculated here, but the change of direction in the second verse was still momentarily jarring and confusing. By the time the song reached the "I'm protected 'cause I made this hat" line, though, I was just grinning with anticipation for the chorus. It's a real "Aha! I see where this going; it's all coming together now" kind of moment.
