Skippy, what do you mean by this? What is it that the polka does that the others don't? Am I missing something?

Spoiler:
The extensive silly sound effects. I know he does it from time to time in the polka, but it seems like it's every song this time and some of them are very juvenile.

Oh, I disagree! I love the way he used those effects. It enhances the song and makes it more than just popular songs in polka style. For some of the songs, like "Scream and Shout," it makes a joke out of the original lyrics without changing them. It's brilliant! And it harkens back to one of his original influences - Spike Jones. Yeah, they're a little juvenile. But Al has always included SOME juvenile elements in his songs. Remember "If That Isn't Love?" It's part of his charm! :D

A cartoony gunshot effect after a song about a school shooting in a polka style is hilarious.

I agree, and I don't mind it that much when it's a few jokes out of many in a song. But these are the only real "jokes" in the polka and it was just jarring for me on the first listen. Like I said, it's growing on me, but I would have preferred more songs and fewer* bodily function noises.

*Yeah, I corrected that from "less." IT'S WORKING!!

I'm not 100% sure, but I think this song contains another Al first, in terms of a guest appearance.

  Forget "Mandatory Fun!" We need to make the listening of "Word Crimes" mandatory for all of mankind.
