Oh my goodness...I would worship CollegeHumor if this is live action. That would make this the first live action food parody since...Fat? I'm assuming that's in there because of "Royals" and the fact that British people like tea, but it sort of seems out of place to me, and I'm not sure how it gels with the aluminum foil concept. Am I missing something here?

I know, but I thought maybe it was playing off the "Royals" title and was referring to the royal family or something. And Al does use a British accent when he says, "Quite lovely."Marko_The_Odd wrote:But Lorde isn't British.Kevbo1987 wrote:Every time I listen to this, I'm thrown off by the "refreshing herbal tea" line. Re: Foil
The herbal tea line to me is just something that fits into "let me live that fantasy." It fits in with the bizarre narrator of the song that he would pause to sip some herbal tea before launching into his conspiracy theories. I think it also tees up the pivot to the first line of the second verse "Oh by the way, I've cracked the code."

My thought was the tea bit was a James Bond villain kind of thing, or that the tea "enlightened" Al

This song is a smurfin' masterpiece. I dont wanna jump the gun, but maybe one of Al's best. Love the build up to the aluminum foil hats thing, the whole verse I was like - where is this going? Such a great pay off.

According to the music video cameos section on the Mothership, the "Foil" video will feature Patton Oswalt, Thomas Lennon, and Ben Garant.

Re: Foil
I love this song even tho I don't have a real good reason why, other than its about aluminum foil. I still have no knowledge of what this parodies or who sang the original, so to me this feels like a weird al original.
